Hi Guys,
Just a minor thing I just noticed. Despite been narrow body the Boeing 707 and 757 appear in the widebody list. The 707 shares pretty much the same body as a 737.
Thanks
Ian

I had discussed this with AS support and they stated the 757 was there because of its mission profile and the way it is favored in the system (which is as a widebody not narrowbody).

727, 737 and 757 actually share the same cabin cross section as the 707/720 and so are as much a widebody as the A380 is a regio jet.
Amazingly the DC-8 is considered a narrowbody instead while I cannot see any big difference, neither in cross section, nor in mission profiles.
Well, due to its unique wing the 757 is actually considered a heavy (by ATC for wake separation purposes) even though technically speaking it is not. So maybe that’s why it has been filed under “Widebody” by the AS team?

Sounds like a lame excuse, don’t you think?
After all, a DC-8 is “heavy” all the way and AS category is “widebody”, not heavy. And there’s a crystal clear definition for a widebody: more than one aisle.
Anyways, it doesn’t really matter for the game but it certainly is confusing for some players.
The 757 has the same pilot classification like a 767 and the classification in AirlineSim is linked to the pilot classification, therefore the 757 is ranked as "widebody". Don't know exactly if there is anything for the 707... but maybe this is a wrong classification by us? ;)

You might want to think about the names of your classes then.
While the 757 and 767 were parallel projects with common cockpit architectures, the cabins clearly were not and it’s the cabin that differs the most on both - regardless of whatever rating the pilots might have.
The 757/767 do have one type ceritification. And therefore they are jointly in one "pilot class" - in this case the larger one - widebody.

Certainly not, but I understand why you did what you did in regards to AS pilot classes.
