Capacity is 88, and bookings are 88 and the price per seat is 113 AS. Simple arithmetic will give you 88 x 113 = 9944 AS.
The direct revenue says 9967 AS!!!!
Be happy. You'll get more than expected. (For a serious explanation see below)
9967/113 = 88.2 so I would suggest 88 is rounded
No. Just no. The 88 is surely not rounded. You can't round up/down passenger numbers. There's no 0,X seat. It's either 88 or 89.
The explanation though is more or less correct. It's the ticket price that is rounded. I'd imagine that the displayed price is the default price, that had been rounded in the overview. 9967/88 ≈ 113,26 AS$.
Obviously a multiplication of integers should only have integer as a result! No way to have decimals...
However, I beleive a there must be some kind of strange error because I can see this happening to most of my Economy seats but not to my Business ones!
I still assume Greg to be right. the standard price is a result of a formular most likely resulting in rational numbers while only natural numbers are being displayed.
for as long as you apply a factor in changing price, like "increase price by 10%, that doesn’t change. once you set an absolute value, it will be that natural number.
an actual answer, though, can only be given by those that know the code.
