Yamoussoukro Decision

I don't really understand this, I operate an airline in Botswana, but can get passengers on a flight from Cotonou to Lome, Cotonou to OUA, Cotonou to LBV. Can someone explain it to me?. That would be appreciated

Have you read this? http://en.airlinesim.aero/wiki/index.php/Tutorial/1.5/Expert_Knowledge/Traffic_Rights

That should explain it pretty well.

It doesn't make sense to me

Let me try it in my simple english :)

You are located in Botswana (Gaborone)

All your flights have to start/finish at Gaborone.

You can plan VIA-Flights i.e. as follows

Gaborone VIA Nairobi to Lagos and retour

or

Gaborone VIA Lagos to Dakar and retour

But NOT Nairobi VIA Lagos to Dakar and retour.

The country of the VIA-airport an the country of the destination-airport need to be member of the Yamoussoukro Decision.

You dont have Seventh Freedom in Africa you only have Fifth Freedom. As you are an airline pilot you should not need to read Rainers very well written simplified explanation. If I am not mistaken cadets learn about the Freedoms of the Skies in basic training?

It doesn't make sense to me

what exactly does not make sense to you?

Don't worry Rainer has explained it very well thank you
