About setting up departure wave...

Try FAI, not ANC. FAI is more central. Transfer and turnaround are better. And you have more slots available.

Entire Japan/South Korea, as well as US/Canadian west coast/Central plate are closer to ANC than FAI, and at least ANC still have 6-bar passenger demand compare to FAI… well FAI have attracted quite a few winter charter from Asia every year but don’t know would AS factor that in.

Forget the Airport demand. It is one of the factors, that are unimportant. You have to create your own demand by transfer passengers. If you want to serve Alaska, I would suggest FAI. I run a Hub there myself, with more than 1450 departures and  85% transfer quote. You can also connect Asia and US there, yes. Believe me, FAI works better for this than ANC. Transfertime is shorter in FAI, this will also give you additional slots.

I never had an airline in US market.

FAI does seem more central if you want a regional hub in Alaska, but if you want to go international, maybe ANC is better. Transfer time is shorter in FAI, but the number of slots in total are few than ANC. If your plan is filling all those slots, mostly likely when you want it becomes a large international hub, you will have disadvantages in FAI. If you are going to just run RJs and props, FAI is definitely better because of the short turnaround for those aircraft, and you will hardly fill in all those slots if it's a regional hub.

For ANC, higher demand will also give you better start up on international routes. I think it depends on how you want to define your airline.

btw, which server have transfer time longer than 8 hours? I recall the start guide on the forum said there is such a forum but he isn't sure about which server is that (btw is there any place I can see the setting or difference between each server?)

Devau.  The transfer time is extended, and there are no ground connections between airports.

I dont think the demand is higher. In ANC are maybe a handfull more pax per flight, yes, but they wont fill a plane. You have to create your demand yourself, no matter if you use ANC or FAI. The shorter transfer time give more advantages, than those 3 or 4 demand-bars in ANC. Because of the 45 min transfertime, you win some slots, that FAI have less compared to ANC per/min. However, ANC is usually full with cargo flights, FAI has a better slot availability.

I would also suggest FAI if the slot condition at ANC is already getting worse, but i don't know which server we are talking about, so i don't have any exact answer for that.

I won't argue about you need to generate your own traffic, but i think higher demand airport will be helpful when you just start your long haul. A few more PAX might be the difference between a profitable flight and a flight with loss. After you have few thousand flights, it is indeed small factor because you have a lot of connection PAX, but i don't think you can reach to that many flights in short time if you just start your company.

After making the airlinr up and running for about a week the current load factor of the airline is about 10% with 63% incoming and 79% departing passengers at ANC being passengers in transit...So apparently in AS, demand of ANC itself seems to be even lower than in real life...and the distance between ANC andNE Asia mean I need planes like 739 HGW to fly it and that I can only start with two which seems to mean it is rather impossible for me to connect enough detination to make a working hub with the starting capital... perhaps I should run an airline in continential America to gather enough profit first, and then use those profits to try?

Good idea, start with CS100 or EMB on an medium, central airport in the USA, like OMA, MCI or ICT. Great to build up a hub.
