I remember reading a topic about pre-order the Bombardier CSeries, one of the admins said there that planes are available in Airlinesim after a few weeks in real life operation. The A320 Enhanced family (you know, the one with sharklets) is much longer in service, so when will this be available on Airlinesim? Hopefully before the new gameworld starts so there is a better alternative for the 737NG.
All types will now be tested. There will be some 22 new airports in Canada and China and data changes for 192 airports (also mainly in Canada but also some reported airports too). We will inform about the details as soon as we have a date for the patch.

That's a great news!! Just a quick question, will we be able to retrofit winglets to our existing fleet of 757s/767s???
I am looking forward to having Sharklets availible for the A320s, will give you some more options...I just hope they will be more realistic than the 737s Winglets, I mean almost all A319/320/321 are delivered with Sharklets now, so they advantages should offset any disadvantage with ease, even on short routes (the only problem with them in RL is that you can't operate them to some small airports due to wingspan issues and even at major ones there are restrictions on where to park them, f.e. in Frankfurts Terminal 1 there are many gates which are not certified for A320 Sharklet). For the 737 its the same story, but in AS they are of no use for most routes (I mean on a short sector like MEX-GDL the 737-700 Winglets fuel costs are 400AS$ higher than the now wingleted variant - sure it's a HGW version and the winglets add some weight to the airframe, but still I can't really believe that the fuelcosts of the wingletted version are so much higher on a short route)...perhaps this can also be updated in the future...
One more thing...will the A318 with sharklets also be availible? I know that that currently there is only one A318 with sharklets, but if you ordered an A318 now you could get sharklets for it, as it is certified...BTW, here is the proof that you can get an sharklet A318:
Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe this to be a single aircraft. Airbus offers the enhanced version only for 319,320,321.
Yes...as far as I know the enhanced program (and the neo) is for 319, 320, and 321. The 318 in the picture can be seen equipped with original winglets...that means no brand new 318 is produced with sharklet, hence shouldn't be available on AS (otherwise we will have a lot of 757s with winglets)

I guess it has something do to with this being the first A318 with Sharklets, perhaps the had to demonstrate the retrofit option to get it certified. The sharklets were installed within 18 days of first flight, so while it is a retrofit technically speaking, I would rather think of it as some kind of test done by Airbus. An other possibility might be that they didn't receive flight approval in time for first flight, so to save time they just installed the old wingtips for the first flight (I just checked the CDL and according to it one (old version) wingtip may be missing, but not both-I know that the CDL only applies to revenue flights, but perhaps there is some reason why they didn't want to get a special permit for the first flight and do it totally without wingtips devices).
mmmh ... can't find any further information about this. By the way - on the airbus homepage you will find the 319-321 with sharklets in pictures and renderings, but the 318 only without:
