Didn't know that ~30 AS$ per flight was "significant"
(average wage difference between regio and narrowbody pilot 200 AS$ per pilot x 8 pilots / 7 days / 8 flights per day = 28.6 AS$ per flight)

My point is why is it more than other RJs in the first place.
In AS it is classified as narrow body, that's why also it requires narrow body pilot salaries. Maybe because it's MD80/90 tooling used in its production, and MDs were narrow bodies.
Thanks for clarification. I never noticed it being under narrow body category.
