Cancel an offer

Is there no way to cancel an offer on an aircraft on the aircraft market? I’ve changed my mind and I can’t undo my bid…

no, there is not.

Thanks for the reply.

Then I should say that it would be a fine addition for the admins to consider!

Hi,

it would also allow all sorts of dubious practices where people can increase the price of an aircraft without any financial consequence. Besides, do you know any real auction (live or online) where you can make a bid and then say that you did not mean it ?

Some time ago I have accidently made a bid on a 737-900 when I actually wanted to lease a 737-900ER. That mistake costed me 300K (one week leasing cost) and I had to wait a week before the safety deposit came back. That’s the price I paid for my mistake ;)

Yep, that’s the same mistake I made, I wanted to bid on an Embraer 195 and I bid on an Embraer 195 AR instead. But why should we pay for such a simple mistake? If you cancel your bid, the plane value should not change at all, it would simply go back to being "unbidded".

this is an economical simulation. the economy doesn’t forgive mistakes either…

I think at least there should be a confirmation about which type of aircraft, what price and age you are bidding, I just made a mistake too.

ehm - half year later ... ;)

LOL.

Maybe cancel the bid for penalty? E.g. 50% of week's leasing cost, with deposit being returned to you minus the penalty.

Or cancel the lease as soon as you get it....then the penalty is 100% of weeks leasing cost.

Sk, what is the problem with replying to an open thread, even if it is five or 12 months old? You gave the same response to a recent post of mine, without addressing the issue that was posed in the thread.

Personally, I think it is better to open older thread than start a new one...

Various reasons:

1) Players in general get information from back-then, see what was already said and discussed about the topic

2) New players get to know the topic + point 1

3) When searching for keywords, search results bring up fewer, but more concise information, rather than 20-30 threads about the same thing
