Cruise Speed override issue

Hi,

On some routes(mostly medium haul) when I try to override cruise speed of aircraft I get this aircraft performance error. Can anyone explain this or anybody else has this problem?

That plane maybe can not fly so fast or does not have enough fuel if it flies at that speed and can not fly at all as it does not have enough fuel and crashing in the persian gulf is not the smartest.

321E can fly at 882 or 798. Thats not the point, I know a/c speed limitations.I get this problem even with my CR9LRs

All aircraft can use the full plus or minus speed override within the basic range (the flat line in performance tool). Once the line starts sloping downward, it will allow full speed override until certain Point, And from there only partial speed override. The more the curve progresses downward the less speed override you can use. After a certain point on the first downward sloping curve, no more speed override is possible.

This explains it. Thanks :)

Are you having a holding in an open country?

Are you having a holding in an open country?

yes i do :)

yes i do :)

Not a good idea. You should base your holding in a restricted country even if you do not plan on playing there right away, because you can create subsidiary in an open country at any time, but you will be able to play with holding or another sub by holding in a restricted country.

That is exactly what I was wanting to say but rubiohiguey did it before me, but think about that the next time when you create a holding.

I get that. Everyday new subs of large airlines keep on coming and I have to fight back, but again I would say competition makes things more interesting :) plus I am thankful to senior players I contact for suggestions/tips.

I agree if it was not for senior players that actually take the time to help with what some consider repetitive questions I too would have been lost playing this game.

There is a wealth of information on the forums. When I started I actually took couple of days to read most of the forums posts dating back a year, both English and also German using Google Translate. It helped me get immense knowledge and instead of repetitive basic questions allowed me to ask more relevant questions that applied to my specific situations.

I understand how and have used the search function alot as well but when you don’t word what your looking for correctly it can take awhile to find what your looking for and sometimes it may be worded a certain way which can lead some people not to fully understand what was being explained most of the time it’s self exploratory but sometimes it’s better to get a fresher opinion on a subject as the game does change from time to time. But i digress because this is off topic from the OP question everybody have a great day.

So as not to hijack any more, I will just say I did not mean the search function which is obviously useful. I meant reading thread by thread …
