Delivery queues

I know that the delivery queue is specific to a company, but are they also specific to a model family and/or a manufacturer?

As in, if I order five 737-900ER BGWs, and 5x 737-900ER HGWs, plus a handful of 787s, will the clock run concurrently or sequentially? I know it doesn’t matter if another company orders the same, but will I be waiting 5x21h periods or 10x21h periods for the 737s?

it is specific to family, so all 737 share one, 787 is a different story/queue

Not totally correct - for some aircraft families there are two different production lines, f.e. for A320 and 737. For the 737 B737-600 and -700 are one production line, -800 and -900 an other. For Airbus A318, A319 and A321 are one production line, while the A320 is seperate. This is very useful if you want to grow fast, so you can split your order between two subtypes to receive the aircrafts faster.

oh, thank you. didn't know that.

but did they change that? I used to utilize 737 nd 739s last time around, and I'm pretty sure to remember, it was the same line... :-/

Well, I am not 100% sure as I am currently using an Airbus fleet, but I think it were allready different lines when I had a B737 fleet on fornebu, two years ago or so...the aircrafts are also produced and delivered at different airports, 738 and 739 at BFI, while 736 and 73G are delivered at RNT (for Airbus its XFW for A318/319/321 and TLS for A320)

that makes sense then, my bad
