Who says I can’t get features in quickly anymore? ![]()
In last week’s devlog I mentioned an idea that I had for the next iteration of Domination and I asked for your opinion on it. While there wasn’t a strong consensus on whether “Single Holding Mode” would be a good idea, there was a slight majority in favor. So since Domination is time-limited anyway, I took the risk and implemented said feature “real quick” on Thursday. If you want to check it out for yourself: Domination went live today.
Concerning the “Yeager troubles” that I also discussed last week I finalised the operational setup together with out ops partner. Basically, I wrote an endpoint at which each game world provides system-level statistics and metrics while a central service has to scrape these endpoints, store the data and present reports. Last week was primarily about getting said central service configured right. Technically, the maintenance patch that happened last week was only required because of the new endpoint as well, but it came in handy, because I had a couple of other changes that needed to go out as well ![]()
Wednesday I helped out a bit with the Connectivity Release over at Prosperous Universe, including the respective release/State of the Universe livestream which you can watch on YouTube if you like.
And last but not least, in the last paragraph of last week’s issue I said:
By that I actually didn’t mean the metrics (although it would most certainly count) but work on our central account management system that will finally get a extension for better account-related notifications. But more on that next week…I didn’t get around to much more than the mere basics here ![]()
