You know me…I hate a gap in my devlog numbering. So here’s a quick one to let you know I am back from my annual family vacation. This time I went to beautiful Denmark. And as someone who’s just recently moved to a place in southern Germany that is intensely affected by climate change and frequently dominates the national heat (record) charts, I really appreciated temperatures well below 30°C ![]()
I only had to pop open my notebook a couple of times to look into some urgent stuff. And during the occasional period of “creative boredom” I caught myself thinking about a few things AirlineSim …in particular about how much has changed in aviation since I’ve started this project. Think about it: Around 2000, it was still a rather new thing to have e-tickets. One had to check before a flight whether one’s airline and the respective airport(s) (!) supported them. These days, they are the norm and have made processes so much quicker and cheaper. The same obviously goes for so many other topics of digitization and I wonder how much of that can and should be modelled for future versions of AirlineSim in the context of proper historic game worlds.
Sadly, no more time for daydreaming. Back to work ![]()
