While Martin tries to clear his desk after a one-week vacation, İpek is digging into the details of AirlineSim’s new visual map.

Sadly, my post-vacation week was cut short a bit for personal reasons, which didn’t help in dealing with my backlog ![]()
Said backlog included the relaunch of Bleriot, of course, which I already had to postpone due to my absence and then had to push from Monday to Wednesday once more. The remainder of my time was split mostly between accountin/admin work (yay!), brainstorming design documents with İpek and getting a few more iterations done on my agent orchestrator experiment.
The latter looks quite useful at this point and it already took over a few easy maintenance tasks affecting one of our backend systems. I’ll likely roll out the results in week 42.

As part of the design work for AirlineSim’s dynamic map feature, Martin suggested focusing more closely on the map’s user states, interactions, and conflicts: what happens when players select airports or routes, combine filters, or display overlapping networks.
I started a “UX, States and Conflicts” section, documenting airport and route behaviours, writing example user flows, and exploring how conflicting selections and filters could be handled without making the map confusing. We discussed the proposed behaviours and possible features together.
Next, I’ll create state diagrams to connect these interactions, identify anything we’ve missed, and turn the design into a clearer plan for implementation. See you next week!
