Dumb question - ORS rating/eq.

Hello, I just have a small dumb question about the ORS.

When checking for ORS value you actually get two of them: Rating / eq.

What is the meaning of eq.? (equivalent? Equipment? ...?) And what value should I care the most? I guess the first one as it seems harder to improve beyond 45-49 for me, while I get mostly 95 to 99 for my flights except connections.

Thank you a lot in advance.

First one affects connection ratings, second one is your O/D rating. Both are important, for different things.

Thank you for the answer.

ORS ratings don't always seem matter a great deal,

On a route I operate the same aircraft type as my main competitor, my ORS ratings are 51 / 88 - my competitors ORS ratings are   42 / 73  he has 100% load factor,  I'm lucky if I can get 30% and his economy fares are AS$17 more expensive than mine.

kinda makes it harder for newer players/airlines to make an impact / profit on routes with competition.

He has what you might be lacking: connecting pax.

You may improve your ORS rating with better seats and better service and you will fill your planes better. Beside the fact that you need connecting passengers as outlined by AK.

Ahh yes, of course, its those darn connecting pax  that I dont have yet.

You can affect ORS rating by
