I have a question about my cabin configuration:
Would making an economy class cabin with Open Suites be considered cheating? I don't want to get in trouble with AS or anything of that sort.
Don't know why it should... I highly doubt that this will be successful...
Booking numbers are one thing but in the end of the day you have to earn money...
Should be difficult without price dumping... you need to be able to cover all direct costs of that flight.
You can go only "so high" in economy as far as better seating is concerned. There comes a point where you cannot go beyond 200% pricing in Y class (or any class) while still maintaining the highest rating, so effectively you are just wasting space with "better seats" than those that can achieve you 200% pricing and top of the line ORS. Also, there are some seats that are better suited than others for some planes, and some price categories.
