EN/DE Stapleton/Aspern Status

Stapelton - backlog 9:39

Stapleton continues to fall back, Aspern looks somewhat stable but doesn't make any progress either. Will have to wait until we moved Quimby before we take the next steps.

Any ETA on the move?

So are you setting up that new hardware you purchased last week and putting Quimby on that?

Thanks for all the hard work Martin, I know this is probably a stressful situation.

Hello!

Backlog now at 11:36.

I must join the queue of frustrated players on stapleton. Indeed it seems rather unfair towards us that other game worlds are running normally, not saying that it is your fault, still I feel that some compensation for this matter is absolutely necessary. I think I speak for all that we value your hard work on the issue, but the fact that you are not offering to the players what the players have purchased prevails.

Additionally, I hope that the move of the new game world will result in a final rectification of the issue.

Kindest regards.

Hi,

Sorry for my bad english...

The most important problem is, to find the solution, then we can talk over the compensation.

Greez from switzerland

Keep up the work on finding the root cause and good luck.

Sadly even if the queue is reduced on Aspern, the game has been almost unplayable for me during almost the entire day, 5-20 times slower then normally with many time-outs all around.

same problem in Aspern too, it takes me 1-2 hours to setup routes for 2-3 planes, the system response very slow, got operation timeout, connection error problems...

wonder if you guys can uninstall the new patch and recover it to the previous version, it works well before this patch

What’s the saying?!? “Never touch a working system!”

That's also our aim...

Backlog 16:04

I was wondering - is it not possible to roll back to version that was working stable?

Unfortunately not. It was never "stable" (that's why we're having this problem) and if we applied a backup from Saturday morning which was (I think) the last time the game worlds did not have any backlog, we'd have switched a 16h backlog to a 5+ days backlog. Doesn't make a lot of sense in my books.

Hopefully you’ll find a solution to the problem very soon. I understand that you’re working very hard to find a fix, but our patience is limited (at some point). keep on the hard work!

There's good news from Stapleton, at last. Credit consumption works very well. So well, in fact, that I got charged three times on April 30th and four times on April 23th (according to the account management page). There might be more, but I can only see the last 20 charges. Somehow I doubt that I'm the only one affected, that's why I post it here.

So this is the point where my patience officially ends.

that of course schould not happen ... please contact the support if possible with a screenshot. It will be investigated. Since today is like in most countries Labour day holiday i can not promise it will be already fixed today..... just trying to reach Martin or SK to have a look.

Sorry for this. Please contact support@airlinesim.aero and we'll refund it as quickly as possible. I'll also turn off credit consumption for Aspern/Stapleton, just to be on the save side.

Oh dear, just chillax and do some baking for your family. the world doesn't end here

Oh dear, just chillax

Yeah, seriously. Imagine it could be worse: what would you do if real world flights you'd have to take would operate like in Aspern/Stapleton?

Yeah, and possibly overeat the baked stuff in order to gain some Kummerspeck due to the fact that AS is not functioning properly  :)

(Sorry, just learned this word - apparently unique to .de - and had to use it :P)

The only solution: shut down the annoying world of Stapleton either temporarily or permanently, and compensate all affected players with reasonable amount of credit & etc. Since you never solved the real problems exist in Stapleton & Aspern, you can do this to avoid further backlog & observe the problems without more data processing in short term. (Of course further compensation is still needed in this case, thinking about how much time and money players spend on building airlines in the server.)

I spent time since day one of Stapelton building my airline there and this is the only gameworld I play on so no I would not like to see the world shutdown. I would like to see it fixed.
