Some may find this interesting. I doubled my employees’ wages in line with the recommendations in this forum in order to increase my staff mood. I got the full 5 bars in a week but when I wanted to reduce the wages again, I observed that the country average had risen by 50% as I’m the only airline in my country. Ouch!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle staff mood in countries when you’re the only airline? Perhaps raise them little by little?
Also I think this will significantly affect my cost structure when I expand. Should I do something drastic like restart my enterprise or fire my employees in order to get the country average back?
Huh thx for that actually
Ive always wondered if the average figure was also influenced by airlines or just a static figure
What a cool dynamic
Umm as 4 ur problem I guess I could try lowering the wage rate very very slowly over a long period of time & see what effects it have. I reckon ur employees r going to grumble a little bit no matter how u tackle it
I usually just set wages a little bit above the average & let time do the rest. Slightly higher percentage rate for flight crews since it’s only their moral that changes if u introduce a new AC type

I always put my wages 1% over the average after the first week. Its good being the only one in the country because you can do it right after you pay everyone because it won’t change during the week. when your doing the same in a country with a lot of player you have to remember to do it right before you weekly payment are take or else the average could have changed. The bad is your wages are typically a lot more. Even after weeks of doing this they never really get back to the starting wages.
