The whole Global Group just entered our Christmas shut down. All operations will be suspended including support and terminal operations meaning that partner carriers flying to Global Plazas will need to fly to other terminals. Service will restart at 08:00 UTC on the 26th across all operations. Merry Christmas!
As the new year is just around the corner we are delighted to announce our plans for 2018! With full service resumed after our yearly Christmas shutdown we are yet again here to announce the path to the future for Indo´s subsidiaries. During the announcement held today at the Raffles Hotel in Jakarta the CEO said
"2018 will bring lots of excitement to Indo and we cant wait to share everything we will be doing at Indo! Let´s first start with Kecepatan Airways which will have it´s whole fleet completely refitted to symbolise complete luxury giving our honoured guests a complete Ecstatic feeling of Luxury on board the worlds best airline, the pride of Asia, the one and only Kecepatan! The refit will include new even more luxurious seats, more Plus class on the 747s, updated sound and lighting systems and the new Global entertainment system. We will also add 15 new 787-8 aircraft during 2018 to further expand long and thin routes on behalf of Indo. Next is Malaysian which will receive two 757s and 5 737s from the Global Banking Corporation to operate in Malaysia to various Indonesian destinations. As we have very little control over IndoExpress we cant promise much but the hopes are to by the end of next year have at least 100 planes feeding Indo"
Then he started rambling on about Swedish hokey, how is favourite team will win the SHL, how every other team cant play, about large fish he caught, how his carbon fibre fishing rod flexes when it got an over 10kg cod on it contrary to how graphite fishing rods react, etc. After an hour and every reporter yawning he started talking about the actual IndoSky.
"Obviously it was on purpose to ramble on about complete rubbish for an hour to bring more excitement for the actually huge announcement, finally we are here, IndoSky will have a fantastic 2018! We will work hard to increase profits and become a top 10 in size airline. We will be adding 130 brand new A321NEO machines and 110 brand new A320NEOs. In the wide body segment we will be replacing 50 A380s and adding 50 more meaning that we will have over 100 brand new A380s by the end of the year, we will also be adding over 50 more A350s to by the end of the year have over 100 of them. Meaning that in 2018 Indo will be adding 330 new Airbus aircraft across 3 families, this will require about 35,000 new staff to operate these planes, meaning that we will end next year with 100,000 employees. This cant be compared to Americans expansion which will consist of adding 430 A320NEOs and 100 A321NEOs for 2018. American will become one of America´s largest airlines and no doubt the most modern one. That is all for this press conference, no questions. Happy new year!"
Global Group has retaken control of IndoExpress! Our franchise partner has not been active for a long time and the company was not growing, thereby the CEO choose it to be better to retake the company. Although whenever the franchise partner is ready to run it again he will get back his franchise (just send a message). IndoExpress is a great airline which runs beautifully and has been built up by a certainly fantastic franchise partner. With that said as the main feeder of IndoSky it needed to keep growing, thereby it will be taken back, modernised and streamlined to better fit with IndoSky. IndoSky will keep it´s first class offering and luxurious Ecstasy class but the Plus class will be revamped to fit with the standard Global Plus class as well as the cabins will be modernised to have the latest Global perks. With that said, the service profiles of IndoExpress will be cut and be exactly the same as IndoSky. Immediately when taking control the CEO was shocked to see IndoExpress paying more for on board service than fuel. The service wont necessarily get worse but will be exactly the same as IndoSky with equal satisfaction at half the price. We have also doubled the IndoExpress fleet with plans to shortly triple it with new Cseries and a couple 737MAXs to fly on denser routes. The first stage expansion involves adding 40 737MAX and 30 CSeries, furthermore salaries will be slightly cut to match IndoSky salaries. All these changes are done to make IndoExpress the luxurious and modern way to fly the Indonesian Jungle with the best service, newest planes and best staff.
Global Group is delighted to announce the start to Rally Sweden! Rally Sweden is one of 13 rallies in the World Rally Championship in 2018. Rally Sweden is an iconic Ice/Snow rally run almost every year since 1973. Except for the striking snow covered surface some very iconic elements including the Vargåsen. Vargåsen is a jump in one of the circuits which usually is jumped longer than 40 meters, it is a very spectacular element to watch. The CEO has very fond memories of this rally from his childhood. As he grew up in the city of Karlstad which is were the rally finishes and ends it was a yearly occurrence to see the cars, he even had the pleasure to many times come close as the rally cars were usually parked in the garage of his apartment. He has very specific memories of riding out on snow scooters through the meter high snow to see this specific jump. The whole Global Group wishes a happy Rally 2018!
