I was wondering, can/do passengers wait , for example, 12 hours to transfer flights.Say I have passengers from Zagreb that have landed in Genoa at 08:00 and want to go to London. Would they wait up to 12-15 hours for the next flight to London?
Currently, in AS, they won't. They will only wait between the minimum and maximum connection time.
I know any airlines in the real world do that. ANA sales those tickets all the time when there is a long layover at night on an ultra-long flight, and it offers free hotel rooms. However, even this feature is introduced in AS, you won't get any advantages since AS cares about the connection time a lot. They won't book your flights if there is another flight offered by other airlines with a shorter connection time.

I would not do that for example for a passager from SIN to PEN in Y makes me about 275 AS dollars and a reasonable hotel in KUL would cost me close to 100 AS dollars so it would not even pay my expenses, but the C passagers make me around 860 AS dollars but I would still not want to put him in a 100 on hotel, even though this strategy would not be that good for longhaul were a single Y passager can make as much as 1000 or more but still not money I would want to put on hotel.

As the OP’s question was not answered, maximum connection time is 8 hours (12 hours on Devau).

I know. For the short flights that were asked in this topic, it won't even work financially. The ANA example is just a general talk about layover flights, not specific flight.
Playing in AS is quite different. for ANA, it is just offering a choice that people will travel with them, and it only offers this service for those long flights, like flights from east Asia to NA. If they don't do that, there would be fewer people travel with them which would be even worse for the company. In AS, you don't need to do that at all.
Thanks
