Just an idea cleaning and seat location preferences

Going to fly soon. So my browser gave me that typical “Stewardess gives secrets about where to not sit in a plane” article.

Afterwards had some talk with a friend traveling Asia often…

Was it ever considered to implement differences in cleaning the planes ? Like save a few $ or a few Minutes but have the plane a bit less cleaned ?

I mean some people know or feel there is a difference between airlines if it comes to clean planes.

I also suggest some “cheaper” seat categories, basing on where in a plane they are located. Not sure if it is easy to implement or if it is possible to have a good logic for it. But if changing cabin configuration is a thing - remember that most people prefer to not sit (and thus participate at least partly) close to the toilet :slight_smile:

Sort of, yes. When I implemented the Dynamic Turnaround Times, the idea was always that players will be able to influence most turnaround activities in one way or another. So you’d be able to pick a different cleaning interval/method/intensity to, say, arrive at a shorter cleaning step. So the foundation is there, I “just” need to get around to implementing all the features :sweat_smile:

I figure this would fall under the (rather broad) subject of “Ancillary Revenue”, which currently is merely a placeholder on the roadmap overview, with anything related to particular seat positions or boarding methods in the realm of “probably too much effort given the impact”, but I’m not ruling out anything.
