Maintenance Categories

Hello, all.  I apologize for the less than fully descriptive title.  Anyway.  I have a question about staying at or below 3 maintenance categories.  I'm getting to the point where I am considering starting a regional airline so I can transfer my RJs to the regional and free up a maintenance slot for my main airline.  My plan is to buy the RJs and then transfer them to the regional airline, and then lease a wide body for my main airline.  I know that if I own the aircraft and lease them to someone else, it'll still be on my property books as owning the aircraft.  Would this affect the maintenance categories?  I want to try to keep the count to 3 in order to save costs.  I'm a little tired, so I apologize if this doesn't make sense.  Let me know if you need more info.  Thanks in advance, though!

No problems. The 3 is based on number of aircraft types OPERATED. Therefore, if you lease out all your regional jets, they will not count to your 3
