What?
Allow inventories to be larger than the physically available cabin space so flights can be “overbooked”. Once an overbooked flight takes off, one of two things can happen:
- There are enough cancellations/no-shows that there’s enough space on board after all or
- the airline needs to compensate and refund the affected passengers, possibly for the full booking based on stored booking data.
Why?
A logical extension to Fare Rules for cancellations and no-shows allowing players more “risk vs. reward” tweaking once they “get to know their clientele”.
When?
Depends on Fare Rules for cancellations and no-shows and all transitive dependencies.
