Passenger demand issue on the DXB–TLV Route

I’ve noticed that on servers Free I and Free II, the DXB–TLV route is almost impossible to fill, regardless of how long the servers have been running. However, in reality, four airlines operate scheduled services on the DXB–TLV route, with flydubai in particular operating a very high frequency of up to 10 daily 737 flights.

Please fix this issue, or at the very least provide a reasonable explanation for it.

Relative demand data, meaning the relative share of pax/cargo that want to travel from country A to country B, is based on real-world schedule data. But since those data extracts are fairly expensive, we only do an update every few years. It’s very well possible that the latest developments on the IL-AE routes aren’t reflected in our current dataset.

I have initiatives on the roadmap (location-based demand, custom trips-per-capita) that partially address the issue, but relative demand figures would need an even more sophisticated model that also uses publicly available sources to somehow generate plausible inter-country demand levels.

Uh…so that would be the case for now, I guess.?

If by your question you mean “so nothing can be done about this for the moment”, then the answer is yes, unfortunately.

well…:face_exhaling:
thank you anyway

This aged well! Guessing the demand may be a bit lower now

no as effects from real world does not influence demand in AS.
