Depends which seats you are using now. Sure.
I can't understand! When I had EcoPlus on my A330-300X, all my flights were completely full!. But when I changed it to Leisure Plus I have a 10% Load factor! If this was a bug, I will demand AirlineSim a cash compensation. Instead of making AS$45.000 profit I now make AS$65.000 losses every flight. But when I changed my 787s from EcoPlus to Comfort, they kept getting full. Is Leisure Plus really that much worse or is there any bug with Leisure Plus?
Hi,
how many ecoplus seats could you install ? And how many Leisure Plus seats could you fit into your plane ? So don't be surprised that the ratings were much lower. As for the A330-300X, Sascha has said the team would look into it. Your plane will be able to fit more seats in the future.

And your suggestion is to use the smallest seats with the largest rating? ;)
It's part of the game when some new features are introduced that there will be some mistakes, nobody will take You guys as noobs or whatever like that. You and Martin have put a lot of effort in this last batch of new features, and we're grateful for that, but since the introduction to the other game worlds there's much more user feedback than those that You could receive from a single gameserver which only had the new seating, or from a few users running the new features on a separate test-server, and it's quite obvious that there will be a lot more variables playing and consequentially a lot more issues coming out . My (and by reading the forums also from many other players) suggestion is to get a reasonable rating with reasonable seats. To receive a decent rating, and therefore decent SLF to break even, we should go for comfort and recliner long haul in place of the old economy and business basic. On an A320 this means 110Y/15C. Never seen such a configured plane flying domestically/short-haul.
I've never considered standard seats, but Leisure or Leisure plus are not very welcomed in short haul, when they should be the more reasonable and quality oriented choice to replace the old Economy seats, but a flight with Leisure plus receives a lower ORS when compared to one with Economy seats. The same applies on longh haul, where Comfort/ Comf. Plus should replace Ecoplus but they get lower rating. I'm not asking for 5 bars seats which would allow a sardine can configuration, but neither to have planes flying at 40% less of their actual capacity.
As proposed by some others, a deadline to change configs would eventually parify the seats ratings, since there will be no new/old seats mix.

sk don't understand that we can't change our seats. Keeping old seats will affect image, but this is a long term consequence. If I change EcoPlus for Comfort seats, I'll lose all my passengers. My company would go bankrupty before losing image. Comfort seats are ridiculously worse than EcoPlus. It should be obligatory to change the seats, with a reasonable deadline.
Comfort Plus is too big. That's the main problem for me.

That's what is happening:
CRJ 2344 with EcoPlus
CRJ 1888 with Comfort
Both flights were usually full with EcoPlus. Now, with Comfort seats, it’s ridiculous. These are the only flights between JFK and GRU in the server.
You should improve Comfort ratings or make Comfort Plus really usable. Maybe you should make aircrafts bigger, because it’s not real that a Boeing 777-300ER can only carry around 260 paxs (with Comfort Plus + Full Bed + Private Suite), when, in reality, they usually transport up to 370 paxs.
I won’t config long haul flights with Comfort anymore. It’s a ridiculous seat and Comfort Plus can’t make my flights profitable. This is wrong, we are without reasonable options.
VOC... not a ridiculous seat oer se... ridiculous seat when competing against EcoPlus, yes.
Same goes for Leisure/leisure plus vs old Economy seat.
We are currently in a testing phase so that the A330/A340 B767/777 and IL86/96 airframe will acomodate one additional seat so to have a 2-4-2 seating. But we also want to make sure that there will be no sideeffects on other planes. Since it is Christmas I recon the patch will come in the next few days.

Thanks for the information. Don't want to sound picky, but I've noticed that the Md-11 is also affected, it should be able to accomodate a 9 abreast seating.
I'll make a double use of this post to whish a merry Christmas to You all, and given the topic:

It has the same size then the 330/340 Cabin so it will be included .... forgot to mention it

Actually Airbus widebodies have an interior widht of 5.28m (208 in) whereas the MD-11 has a 5.69m (225 in) one in which another row could perfectly fit. Here's a useful table http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide-body_aircraft#Widebody_specifications

I don't know how it is programmed in the game since I am not a programmer ..... could be I am mixing it with the 777 ... but anyways until now it was to small for a fourth seat and with the new Patch it will have space for a 2-4-2 configuration .... as well as the B767/777 A330/340 and the IL86/96 .... I hope we did not miss one though :)
Very good news to hear! Hope the patch will be released soon
Hi,
I think it would really have helped us if - together with the new cabin editor - we would have received some information about the seats. We don't need the "secret formula" behind the cabin editor, or how the seat rating system exactly works.
We now know that the comfort plus seat is worse than the old ecoplus, and that the recliner shorthaul is better. If you use the comfort plus, you need to lower your prices. If you use the recliner SH, you can raise your prices. A simple table that compared old and new seats would not reveil any secrets, but there would have been far less frustration amongst some players.
On the other hand, most of my planes are now more profitable than they were before. The increase is most noticeable on my Antonov 148 planes. The 739 is also more profitable, in spite of the higher fuel consumption. My 73G's suffer from the fact that their fuel consumption has been doubled, but even they are ever so slightly more profitable. My 767's are a bit of a problem, but it will be fixed.
So to those people who say their planes fly empty, I suggest they change prices a bit, check the ORS rating and repeat the process until they are happy. I am pretty sure that passengers and profits will return.
In the mean time, a merry Christmas to all !

sobelair, the main problem is the configuration for long haul flights. It’s terrible.
Comfort Plus takes much space and Comfort isn’t comfortable enough for long flights. I don’t have any option for long haul. I can’t fly a 787 with 200 passengers. I want something around 240, just like reality.
It’s impossible to do a decent configuration in a 777 with more than 280 paxs. In reality, companies carry more than 350 paxs comfortably.
It has to be adjusted to reality. Please!
I really think the body of widebodies should be larger
Sorry to disapoint you, but we currently only have the Airbus 300,310,330,340 and the 767 to receive a larger cabin. The cabin width of the MD-11 i.e. is already comparable to the 777 and therefor we don't need a change in here. I expect the fix somewhen today. I will keep you informed.

Hi,
I agree with you... you can't install the same number of seats as they do in a real planes. But your 200 seats will make a decent profit.
AS makes the game as realistic as possible, but it is a game. Nobody ever complains that our profit margins are not realistic. Every decent airline makes a weekly profit of 30%. Real airlines would be happy if they did that in a year ;-)
Jan
They would be happy if they would have a margin of 5-8% per year! Just to give a hint about real life aviation ;)
