Start Up Question

Hello Guys,

A bit new to this… so here goes!

if I just uploaded a new route schedule (brand new airline - just started), is it normal for my flights to have no bookings, right away? I have a A319 with economy seats - flights leaving at around 2-3 oclock PM and stuff like that - good service profile. Is this normal for at least the first few days? Can you please give me any tips or pointers?

Thanks in advance!

Hey,

There are a lot of reasons why this could be happening.

 1. Price to high.

 2. It is good to have a some connecting flights, they help ticket numbers.

 3. Not enough demand.

 4. Low ORS rating compared to competition.

 5. Lots of competition with better connections and cheaper, service .eg

 6. Political restrictions, have a look on the wiki, explains were you can fly.

Try and have your flights leave when no one else does. Have good connections with short connection times. Have reasonable prices not to high that you get no bookings but not low that you end up losing lots of money or have a really small profit margin. Its best to start in the domestic market if you can, easier to start that way for a new airline.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks a lot! We’ll see how it goes! Started off with Saabs flying domestically. :) Again - Thanks for the help.
