Sudden decrease in bookings

Hello there,

I'm quite new to this game but really enjoying it, however I noticed just now that for some reason I seem to have gone from getting a mediochre amount of bookings on a majority of my flights, to getting a 0% load on every flight overnight!

I was curious as to whether this is a bug or if I've done something stupid without realising...

Thanks if you can help,

Jiggyb2

PS This only seems to be in Meigs. My Idlewild game seems fine...

Being new to the game as well, I've found similar things happening. I have some theories, but none confirmed.

* If it's a new route, there might be a day or two of good bookings, but it falls off because the accumulated demand is gone. This assumes the game holds onto passengers from one route to another for a longer time, and when the route opens up, all those extra passengers suddenly travel, but they're not there the next week.

* Routes are added all the time. Another, higher rated route, could have been added to reduce the number of passengers on your flights. Since this seems to happen pretty often, I have doubts about this theory. It seems to happen too often to be realistically happening.

* Your route is usable for a non-interlining transfer flight on another airline for a short while, but changes in that airline's routes or planes could upset your flight reservations.

* An astute player notices the changes in routes and decides to add more routes or better rated routes/transfers that take out your demand. This is similar to the second, except that if someone is really paying attention, they can notice when you add successful flights and figure they can do better.

* Days/seasons/other factors change the demand between days/weeks/months in the game. For example, flight reservations might have peaked a couple weeks ago with spring break. As it ends, demand goes back down. However, I've read in other places that these things aren't put into the game.

They are all pretty weak theories, I admit. But I haven't found a way to beat the problem. Usually, I cancel and remove flights if they are under 40% consistently.

I only really thought about that last theory being a possibility since I'm still getting the hang of the game, but I'd be surprised if it were any of the others, particularly relating to ones involving other airlines, since many of the routes going from an already meagre load of around 60% to 0% had no competition whatsoever.

I'll continue looking tomorrow and see if the problem has a reason.

This is my theory too. I noticed exactly this kind of observation.
