Peru open again on Limatambo, so is Serbia

A couple of pockets in the US too

Iran on Idlewild is now open. With large domestic market with many airports, this country is a good starting place for a newbie or intermediately advanced player.

Since Fly to Miami is gradually leaving (with three of the four divisions already gone), the USA market on Kaitak is relatively open with only two large players but also considerably smaller than FTM.

It might be a good chance for players who really wants to enter the USA market on the server (i haven’t seen an opportunity like this for years), and also with a high index to start with.

Ukraine, Morocco, and Tunisia open on Limatambo. Good small markets if anyone’s looking for an opportunity in an active, long term world with new ORS.
Some other markets have plenty of room for new carriers.
Plus you can get started in high AGEX/demand season.

Iran and Israel are wide open on Idlewild. Good opportunity to start a Middle Eastern airline. Especially Iran has a large domestic market. Also Lima, Peru is wide open with no domestic airline. Both Iran and Peru and good opportunities to build a medium-sized airline.

To add to this, Nigeria is also available on Idlewild. Another strong domestic market, if you would prefer an African experience.

Japan is now open on Croydon.

There’s some nice gaps in Limatambo with Chile, Brazil, and New Zealand. I think an airline has set up in the two former (Brazil still has some small to midsize carriers but the major airports are wide open and the city airports are basically empty). But no one in NZ. Reminder w/ NZ you also get Australia traffic rights, and the Cook Islands… and there’s no one in Solomon :slight_smile:

Plenty of cheap aircraft are available from the UM

For fans of the old ORS, Indonesia has just opened up on Xiguan.

Thailand is completely empty on Idlewild. Welcome, I would love to be your partner.

Colombia now completely empty on Limatambo.

Peru, Chile are open on Gatow

Any suggestions for opportunities on Limabato now?

I am on Limatambo at the moment

Quite a few opportunities if you are willing to grind, the server is coming out of the low AGEX now - There are dirt cheap 737-9HGW MAXs on the market, about 2/3rds the normal price - and with limited maxs , delivery slots in later game will be fast

Here are some options:

TPE - Taiwan is 60% slots, only a small airline there, good opportunities
SIN - Singapore is 60% slots, only one small airline there
DOH - Qatar, now its not an open investment world, 76% slots, completely free, huge cargo and pax demand, the 737-9HGW Maxs on the market would print money - there isnt any airline based in the UAE either for hub competition which leads me to
DXB - UAE 55% slots , you know what to do, same as Qatar
KUL - 55% slots, but competing with 1 airline

If you want something a bit different - Auckland is also open, fancy running a national airline there? Could be fun with the 5th freedom flights in Australia

Also Lima - would be wary of Doha and Dubai. Maybe now with the AGEX above 800 for the first time in months and dirt cheap fuel (at 0.4025 A$S/40.25 centi-A$S), it has changed, but past few months I’ve seen a fair share of fleeting carriers in the microstates.

There are also no carriers in Tel Aviv and Addis Ababa. Some gaps in China also. And cargo is as a whole underserved. Airlines who set up and have matching flights from me are welcome to send an IGM and IL :slight_smile: Almost always able and willing to help new airlines

Yup. I used to operate the last big carrier in DOH, but decided to let it run into the third consecutive rescue loan because I lost interest in the region. (I still would have had a few hundred millions of leasing deposits.)

The region sounds intriguing at first, but there are some risk factors. KWI, BGW and BEY are still investment open, so inevitably at some point major players will end up and just dump money and capacity there.

Also it doesn’t help that there is a ridiculously big player in China. (At least it’s not two anymore.) That certainly does take away a lot of these long-haul possibilities which I found really attractive about a middle-eastern hub in the first place. Sure, you can still create a mega-hub with the infamous A220 (E195-E2 if you’re feeling quirky), but that just felt a bit too unreal for me.

Also be careful about the 737-9 MAX HGW recommendation. It’s not quite as versatile as the A321 NEO LR, and the maximum needed runway length is a joke.

Rare opportunity on Limatambo as the sole airline in Malaysia has left the server. KUL 80% of slots and no domestic competition. Limited but highly-sought-after used aircraft available. AGEX today ringing in at 855 and continuing to climb, leaving the worst season hopefully behind and entering into the prosperous austral summer…

Mexico is now open on Croydon.

Thailand has no airline on Idlewild, BKK and DMK are wide open.
