Is there a way to transfer an aircraft that is not currently in use for a day to cover just a specific flight that is cover by another? In other words, I want to switch planes just for that one flight..

You can assign another plane to a single flight, yes. Then it will take 3 days for bookings. Then you can cancel this flight again.
But does this make sense? Or did I missunderstand you and you want to schedule once a week a flight to another plane?
It's just for one flight... this is what happened, while re-arranging a flight plan for an aircraft, I changed departure times.. so for some reason I know have 2 flights leaving the same city to different destinations, with the same aircraft (E90) that are already booked (100%).. what I want to do is, assign another aircraft (a A320) that I have that doesn't have a flight until the next to cover one of these route so I don't have to cancel a flight because of schedule discrepancy..
Does it make sense??
That is not possible... Unfortunately, you have to decide for one of the flights... :-(
I would choose to keep the longest of them as it makes you more money.
He actually needs to chose the flight to that destination, from which he has the return flight coming back to his hub.One of the two flights will be outbound, while the other will be both outbound and return. This is the case in 99% of cases with double departure booking.
