What happens to staff when IL agreement is terminated ?

When an airline signs an Interlining agreement (IL) a certain number of 'Network Planning' staff are hired to deal with the connections. But what happens when that IL is terminated ? Are those staff then made redundant ?

I just terminated an IL which required 36 staff, yet no staff from Network Planning are being shown as redundant. Does this mean that even if I terminate an IL, I am effectively stuck with those staff that were hired for it ? If I am in fact stuck with these staff, will they be used for future IL's or will even more staff be hired ? . . . or, does it just take a while for those staff to show up as redundant ?

It takes a while for those staff to show up as redundant  because the cancelled IL-agreement will be valid for a certain period.

You can see the cancelled IL-agreement still amongst the valid ones but wit the remark "cancelled". Please check this from time to time. At the moment where the IL-agreement in question is not shown anymore on the list, the "netork planning stuff" is redundant and you can use them for the next  IL-contract which you will sign.

Don't kick them out because that cost between 6 to 8 weekly payments.

If you or your IL partner cancel an IL then the staff that was hired will remain your staff. Its your decision if you like to retain them and, once you sign another IL those staff will be used in the number needed for the IL. If you have now 36 people doing nothing and sign a new IL where you need 40 people, then the retained 36 plus 4 new hired will be used.  You can make the staff redundant but have to pay if i am not mistaken 6 weekly payments as compensation. So better to keep them and find a nother IL partner .....
