Hi Teletexta, I did something similar to this a while back, and I can certainly appreciate that you must have put a heck of a lot of work into this!
I can think of a couple of enhancements that would look really great and should not be too difficult to implement using the Google Map API.
One would be to show the track of each aircraft from origin to destination. That could be done with the polyline overlay. The other would be to use different icons on the marker to show which direction the plane is flying. Maybe different sized icons for different aircraft? This is exciting!

How about some smaller plane icons, and show them at farther ranges, instead of just the number of planes in that region? ;-)
This really shoud have been an official AS page. maybe with the ability to right click, to view schedule, loads, condition, etc!?

NEW: The user interface now has a revised design.
NEW: The new server 'Aspern' is fully integrated & supported.
NEW: You can load a second flight schedule into your map. The new function is located under 'Settings'->'Add schedule'.
