I’ve been out of office all day, so it’s gotten late. But it’s Monday! So it counts towards my streak
Anyway…on Monday I finally rolled out the internationalisation adjustments I talked about last week and the week before. We also relaunched Bleriot that day.
The rest of the week was filled mostly with development…in terms of DS-integration I finally wrapped up how inventories/booking classes are managed “in memory” so that this bit of code is more or less ready to handle more than the 4 booking codes we have today. To actually make this happen will take a fair amount of work still and for it to work I’ll have to wrap up other “dummy implementations” as well, for example for fares.
This will have to wait, though: As mentioned last week, I really want to take another stab at a new set of performance formulas, and - almost more importantly - the corresponding tooling to actually research the data needed for those. I got started on this and laid some groundwork to improve the existing proof-of-concept, which you can find a screenshot of in devlog 2024-07. Still looks and works the same, but I want to develop it into an actual editor over the coming weeks as to finally release the brakes on our volunteer data researchers’ work.
