What?
This is a hybrid of the full Distribution System (which will generate actual point-to-point travel requests) and the existing ORS (which generates travel requests in bulk for all destinations from an airport once a day).
Why?
Generating actual point-to-point travel requests was one of the trickiest parts to implement when we did the ASTD project. Getting this to work in current-generation AS is speculative, so we opted to work on this hybrid version first that suffers from less of the performance challenges as the “full” DS.
