frequency of flight?

is the flight rating affected if the flight is a daily one or once a week?

no.

But remember that route demand is calculated on a daily basis, not weekly (someone correct me if i am wrong here), so if you can fill a plane once a week, you’re pretty sure to fill it once a day.

Hi Saad,

this is not 100% the case… tickets are booked on a daily basis, but passengers buy tickets up to 3 days ahead.

Let’s take an imaginary direct route with no competitors. If 50 only passengers per day are willing to fly from A to B, you will only get 50 passengers for your daily flight. If you fly that route once per week, your flight would go through the booking system 3 days in a row and your flight would carry 150 passengers.

Reality can be very different of course…

If another airline schedules a daily flight, he will take his shares of the passengers and your weekly flight might only get 20 passengers per day over the three days that tickets are booked.

Besides, even a 1 bar airport "produces" enough passengers to fill more than one plane. But only 10 of them may want to fly to your hub. If you want to fill that plane, you need connecting flights to the right destinations.
